We designed the complete visual identity and communication system for Turkey’s first-ever moving poster exhibition, held as part of Grafist 22 – Istanbul Graphic Design Week.

This project was initiated by graduate students from the Graphic Design MA program at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University as an experimental investigation into the role of motion in graphic design. Seven students explored the possibilities of the moving poster through seven distinct approaches: perceptual gap, music, sequence, interaction, augmented reality, sound, and loop. Each student interpreted these concepts through their own design lens. The project was later transformed into a physical exhibition with the support of Studio-X Istanbul and Arçelik.

At Informal Project, we developed a visual system that both reflected the conceptual diversity of the posters and unified the exhibition’s visual language. The exhibition identity was built around dynamic grids, rhythmic layouts, and variable typography—graphically expressing the idea of motion.

As the first of its kind in Turkey, the project marked a milestone in design history. The visual system we developed offered a flexible and contemporary presentation that matched the experimental nature of the exhibition, resulting in a visually and conceptually engaging experience for its audience.
